# Rainy Day in Singapore: The Best Indoor Spots on the Circle Line

A guide to saving your rainy day in Singapore by exploring the incredible indoor attractions connected by the MRT Circle Line.

Singapore is a tropical paradise, which means two things: it is beautifully lush and green, and it can rain heavily at a moment's notice. When a sudden afternoon thunderstorm rolls in, your outdoor plans might be put on hold. But don't let the rain dampen your spirits\! The MRT's Circle Line \(the yellow line\) is your secret weapon. It connects some of the city's best indoor attractions, allowing you to stay dry while still exploring. Here is how to spend a perfect rainy day hopping along the Circle Line.

##  Stop 1: Esplanade Station \(CC3\) 

Start your rainy day with some arts and culture.

  * **The Attraction:** Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay. Known locally as "the Durian" because of its spiked architectural domes, this is Singapore's premier performing arts centre.
  * **What to Do:** Stay entirely indoors and explore the free visual arts exhibitions, browse the library focused on performing arts, or catch a free music performance at the indoor concourse. There are also plenty of cafes inside to grab a warm drink while you watch the rain fall over Marina Bay.

##  Stop 2: Promenade Station \(CC4\) 

Just one stop away, Promenade offers massive indoor complexes where you can easily spend hours.

  * **The Attraction:** Suntec City and Millenia Walk.
  * **What to Do:** Suntec City is one of the largest malls in Singapore. You can shop, catch a movie, or visit the indoor arcade. If the rain slows down to a drizzle, step out to the centre of the mall to see the Fountain of Wealth. Alternatively, Promenade connects via an underground walkway to Marina Square, keeping you completely dry.

##  Stop 3: Stadium Station \(CC6\) 

If you are feeling energetic but want to stay out of the weather, this is your stop.

  * **The Attraction:** Singapore Sports Hub and Kallang Wave Mall.
  * **What to Do:** The Kallang Wave Mall is built right into the National Stadium complex. You can go indoor rock climbing, ice skating, or visit the Singapore Sports Museum. There are also extensive sheltered walkways around the stadium that are perfect for a dry stroll.

##  Stop 4: Bras Basah Station \(CC2\) 

If you prefer museums over malls, head towards the museum district.

  * **The Attraction:** National Museum of Singapore and Singapore Art Museum \(SAM\).
  * **What to Do:** The National Museum is a short, mostly sheltered walk from the station. Spend the afternoon learning about Singapore's fascinating history through interactive, multimedia exhibits in a beautifully restored colonial building.

##  Stop 5: HarbourFront Station \(CC29\) 

Ride the Circle Line all the way to its terminus for the ultimate indoor entertainment hub.

  * **The Attraction:** VivoCity and Sentosa Island's indoor attractions.
  * **What to Do:** VivoCity is the largest shopping mall in Singapore, offering endless shopping, dining, and a massive cinema. If you want more action, take the Sentosa Express monorail \(located on the 3rd floor of VivoCity\) directly to Resorts World Sentosa. From there, you can stay completely indoors and visit the incredible S.E.A. Aquarium, home to over 100,000 marine animals.
